Introducing Antonia Scrase.

Antonia is the Technical Director for the Mine Land Rehabilitation Authority (MLRA).

Antonia is leading a team of technical specialists in mine rehabilitation, with a focus on the closure of the coal mines in the Latrobe Valley.

Specific area of expertise

Antonia has over 20 years’ geo-environmental experience in mine closure, geo-environmental assessments, brown field development and regulation.

She has worked for industry, government and consultancy before joining the MLRA. During her career she has developed and led mine closure projects, undertaken risk identification, assessment and mitigation, undertaken audits, developed of regulatory documentation, including closure criteria, technical study management, remediation implementation and stakeholder engagement. Antonia has experience with a range of commodities in hard and soft rock mines.

Personality

Antonia is a natural leader who enjoys sharing her knowledge of all things geo-environmental.

Fun fact

Antonia enjoys travelling, stand up paddle boarding and great coffee.
